Gardens of fresh food - sold fresh. There's a pleasant surprise about Mexico's food, fish and meat. Because the nation's climate is tropical, every month is growing season. Which means produce is fresh. Picked on a Monday, it is in markets next day.  So there is no need to spray produce with preservatives. Nor any need of additives to make old fruit look fresher.
Throughout Mexico, cattle are far less often grain-fed, but instead roam the ranges, being grass-fed. The result is healthier, more tasteful beef.
