Introducing Lee Schmidt & Brian Curley: Maravia's Golf Design Team
|
Our Course Design
Maravia is now
building a superb eighteen-hole championship golf course designed and
built by the renowned Schmidt & Curley team of Scottsdale. Brian and Lee
consider the topography of Maravia perfect. Comments Brian Curley:
|
"The hills are natural for homes, while the gently-rolling valleys allow
the ultimate in golf game design. It's a natural." The tropical course
will begin at the hacienda-style Clubhouse which will boast a panoramic
view of the Sea of Cortez, plus a direct view of the neighbor island of
Espiritu Santo, one of the major ecological wonders of the world.
|
Maravia also plans a senior "Irons" golf course. The
Irons concept of golf is based upon a combination of
traditional courses and miniature courses. It will be sculpted like a
major course, with sand traps, fairways, roughs and greens. The major
difference is the shorter length. Covering just 1/3rd the area of a traditional course, the Irons
are designed to accommodate those who no longer
want, or have the stamina for, larger facilities.
